ST MARY NEWHOUSE -
NEW CHURCH ORGAN APPEAL

Just in time for Christmas!
Our new organ WAS installed by Makin organs of Shaw on 21st December. The digital audio and specially designed speakers produce an exceptionally high quality sound and are maintenance free. Makin have added a ‘midi-sequencer’ which will allow recording and playback.

The new organ replaces the pipe organ which we’ve had for nearly 40 years. It came to us from St George’s in Maghull. It has served us faithfully for all those years. Unfortunately it was at the centre of an infestation of woodworm. The console was heavily infested outside and inside and the woodworm was spreading and threatening our statues. We were advised to remove the console and dispose of it promptly. At the same time other parts of the organ were coming to the end of their useful life and were proving ever more difficult to maintain. So the decision was made to replace it with a simpler and less costly digital organ designed for church use.

I expect that our new organ will make music to praise God and give joy to His people for many years into the future and long after our time.

I am also confident that all parishioners and friends of the parish will wish to be part of this venture and contribute to its speedy success.
